Our clinically certified Narrow Band UVB Lamp with a wavelength of 311 nanometers is specifically designed for use in the treatment of vitiligo, psoriasis, eczema, and a range of dermatological conditions.
Clinical studies have shown that phototherapy with UVB is extremely effective in the treatment of these conditions, and Viaguard's system is designed for easy at-home use.
Narrow band UVB provides a much faster treatment than broadband, and of course the hazard of UVA and UVC rays are eliminated.
Viaguard’s 311 UVB lamp has a precise spectro-energy distribution that minimizes potential side effects such as skin redness. Shorter period of exposure results in minimal discomfort with maximum benefits.

Details on these products are listed on the Products pages
These products are topical serums to be applied to the affected areas as per the directions for each particular condition. The products have a significant role to play in the treatment of these skin conditions. Many skin conditions are cause by the autoimmune system attacking and destroying melanocytes as well as the skin being subject to extreme oxidative stress due to reactive oxygen species (RUS), originating from the environment and metabolism occurring within skin cells.
A basic factor in these skin conditions are free radicals formed by the above processes and their role in damaging cellular DNA and the integrity of the epidermal system. One of the body's most important defence mechanism, the endogenous enzyme catalase, found in every living cell, diminishes with age and the effect of environmental pollutants and other external factors.
The listed Viaguard products attempt to restore the body's catalase balance. A single catalase molecule is capable of neutralizing several million free radicals.
The hypothesis that there is an imbalance in the oxidant-antioxidant system is supported by a study reported in The Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
Your healthcare practitioner may recommend the course of treatment including the appropriate exposure times to UVB. Many people start treatment with a UVB exposure time of about 2 minutes, 3 times a week. If redness occurs, decrease the exposure time. Phototherapy is optimized if used in conjunction with the appropriate topical serum.
The treatment of these types of conditions can often take up to several years but improvement should be noticed 30-60 days after initiating treatment.
